I’m Summar Rasras, a multidisciplinary Palestinian artist based in the Pyrenees mountains of Catalunya.
Six years ago, I decided to leave my career in law and dedicate myself fully to art — to live from what I create and to live more truthfully. Leaving Palestine was not an end, but a beginning: a way to reconnect with the traditions and stories that shape who I am.

I built my weaving workshop in a small mountain village surrounded by calm and nature — the rhythm of the landscape mirrors the rhythm of the loom. Here, I spend my days weaving, sketching, and designing new textiles that carry traces of my Palestinian identity and my personal experience of migration and memory.

Each piece I create feels like a continuation of a story that began long before me — an attempt to preserve knowledge, heritage, and emotion through the act of making.
Ghuson, to me, is not only a brand — it is a language of resistance, one that speaks through thread and time.
